2021 SYF Art Exhibition
SYF Art Exhibition 2021 celebrates the artist in every student and promotes appreciation for the arts. Themed 'Artist and Technology', the exhibition invited student artists to reflect on how technology has impacted their lives. Through their wonderful pieces of artwork, our students emphasised the importance of safe and responsible usage of technology.
The SYF Art Exhibition provides opportunities for students to showcase their artistic talents and to promote arts appreciation in schools. The main theme “artist” remains a consistent theme in every SYF art exhibition. It signifies our belief that every student is unique, and so are their artworks.
CZ submitted 3 pieces of artwork for 3 different categories as listed below:
Category C | P5 – P6 | ||||||||||||||||||||||
“R U IN OR OUT?” The theme of technology was wide: from pencils to our cyber world. Our idea was to illustrate the challenges a young child like us would go through in this part of the world where technology has taken over privacy. We were also trying to illustrate the portion where students were still using technology to learn, paint and capture memories.
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||
Category B | P3 – P4 | ||||||||||||||||||||||
“The Cleel” We want to show our ideologies which are always ever - flowing. The clay represents our different individualities. We had fun experimenting with planning clay making and glazing.
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||
Category A | P1 – P2 | ||||||||||||||||||||||
“ZOOM WITH ME” We never knew that our primary school would allow us to study from home. We were excited to have a peek at each other’s homes during our zoom lessons. It was fun talking with one another via digital platforms. We are glad that we could still learn at home with the help of technology.
|
Our pieces of artwork from Category A “Zoom with Me” and Category C “R U in Or Out” were selected for display for the Official Opening of the Singapore Youth Festival 2021. They were featured using immersive 360-degree virtual technology where selected pieces of artwork were set against a digitalised backdrop of gallery spaces within the National Gallery Singapore.

Pupil of the Year 2020
During my six years in Chongzheng Primary School, various opportunities have allowed me to develop into a more confident and resilient leader. When I became the head student leader in 2020, I was uncertain about my ability to lead the student body well. However, my teachers, friends and parents stood by me, encouraging me to do the best that I could. Without these pillars of support, I would not have believed that I could do it. I will always be grateful for the memorable experiences and memories forged throughout my journey in Chongzheng Primary School. Without them, I would not be where I am today! |

6 Confidence, 2020
Sports Pupil of the Year
I am Donovan Lee from 2020 graduating class, 6C. I was the recipient of the Sports Award last year. It was indeed one of the highlights in my primary school chapter! Being the captain of our school rugby team gave me a lot of opportunities to show leadership and confidence in leading my team during competitions. “Confidence in Ourselves” is one of the core values in ChongZheng Primary school and this is what I had learnt from my time there. Having confidence in myself will help me move forward in life and not back away from challenges. Once again, I am very grateful for the award. Thank you ChongZheng for teaching me important values that I will need in the future! |
